PETER PAN LIVE!

This is all I have to say....PERFECTION.

"Peter Pan Live" is quite possibly one of the greatest things ever to be shown on television.

Despite a few hiccups with the camera and sound, The entire thing was just phenomenal.

Alison Williams was obviously born to play the role of Peter Pan. Strong acting skills,  a great voice. This is what I call a casting from the heavens.  Her voice was just amazing. Her portrayal of the role is absolutely perfect. She lived up to the talents of Mary Martin and Cathy Rigby. She didn't sing from her mouth...She sang from her heart. Flawless just flawless.

Christopher Walken was an interesting Captain Hook. I've just never seen the role portrayed that way. A very intriguing casting choice. His voice was good. Not something I'd go crazy over. He also did an okay job with his acting.

Ok now...TAYLOR LOUDERMAN as Wendy! YES!  JUST YES! After this I just want to see her play Wendy. No one else! She clearly did her character study and her emotional journey was just SPOT ON! Her voice soars. It SOARED! I want too see her in everything now!

Jake Lucas and John Allyn as John and Michael: Again, Amazing! They are both such wonderful little performers. I can't wait to see their careers take off.

Kelli Freaking O' Hara, She's just amazing in everything she does. Someone needs to give her a Tony like right now.

Christian Borle is just great. Christian, Just keep doing what you're doing. He's just such a wonderful actor and singer.

The Lost Boys, Pirates, and Indians is one of the best ensembles I've seen in my life. I've never seen an ensemble work so well together.

Just telling everyone right now, Alanna Saunders (Tiger Lilly) is going to be famous.

All of the techincal elements were spot on. The flying was glorious,  The set was beautiful, and the lighting design was just phenomenal. Tinker Bell looked great and so did the alligator.

The new songs (by Amanda Green) flowed seamlessly into the original piece. I enjoyed the new song "True Blood Brothers" in place of the somewhat offensive "Ugg a Wugg"

NBC did a great job putting on a true musical theatre classic. I cannot wait for the next live musical.

If you missed the broadcast, Buy it on DVD.  You will not be disappointed.
