Disney's Beauty and the Beast National Tour Review

Last night, December 9 2014. I attended a performance of the current national tour of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast."

This show is Disney at it's best. First of all, "Beauty and the Beast" is my favorite Disney film and this was my second time seeing this production.

The entire show was beautiful and stunning. There are absolutely no flaws in this production.

Jillian Butterfield perfectly played the role of Belle (my favorite Disney Princess) Her voice rung throughout the theatre. She was Belle. She sang that score so perfectly and acted the heck out of the role. She is up there with Paige o' Hara and Susan Egan in this role. I can't wait to see her do so much more.

Ryan Everett Wood portrayed the role of the Beast. His portrayal of this role was wonderful. I very much enjoyed the chemistry between him and Butterfield as Belle. He is perhaps on of the greatest performers I've ever seen play this role.  His voice was excellent and his acting was superb. APPLAUSE!!!!

Cameron Bond was Gaston. Once again, Superb. His singing was excellent and his comedic timing was on point. The musical number "Gaston" was one of the best parts of the show.  Can't wait to see his career take flight.

Emily Jewell, Patrick Pevehouse, Samuel Shurtleff, Melissa Jones and Kelly Teal Goyette, and Ross Nemeth as Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Babette, Madame de la Grande Bouche, and Chip put on fine performances in their roles with both strong vocal and acting skills. Thumbs down to Patrick Pevehouse for goofing off at the beginning the title song.

Shout outs to  Jake Bridges and Thomas Mothershed in their performances of Lefou and Maurice.

The choreography by "Matt West" was outstanding. "Belle", "Gaston", and "Be Our Guest" were true showstoppers. The set and costumes done by Stanly A. Meyer and Ann Hould- Ward were gorgeous. As were the puppets which were done by Basil Twist. The the 10 piece orchestra which was led by Kevin Finn were spectacular.

I give this show 5 stars and recommend it to everyone. This is by far one of the greatest shows done by Disney Theatricals.
