I have not posted in a month

Sorry that I have not posted anything in a month! I just haven't seen any shows in a month!  I will have a new review posted for a show that I literally just got out of an hour ago shortly.

The National Tour of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS

*I wrote this right after I saw the show in February, but it is barely being published due to my poor commitment skills*    The first thing I said when the lights came up at the intermission of the national tour of An American in Paris was that the dancing was lovely. Because it really was. In fact, it was quite likely some of the best dancing I have ever seen take place in a musical. In fact, if I were to rank the best choreography I have seen in musicals, this show is easily in the top three, if not the top two. Not to mention, that the orchestrations were simply heavenly. If I were to rank orchestrations, this show would certainly be high on the list as well. However, if I were ranking this production on it's book, design, acting, and singing, then this production would easily be nearing the lower end of said rankings in each category. "The Phantom of the Opera" Restaged National Tour Review

    As I am sure you already know, "The Phantom of the Opera" is a world wide phenomenon. It is the longest running show in Broadway history, it has been translated into 13 different languages, played in 30 different countries,  has been seen by over 140 million people, and is probably one of the world's most successful musicals. It continues to run on Broadway, in the West End, on tour, and more. So it was only a matter of time before I saw it live, right?    While on a trip to Cleveland, I was able to catch the production that is currently on tour across North America and it was my first time seeing the show live and in person. This touring production is not the original Hal Prince staging, but the re-envisioned production by Laurence Connor. Meaning, that this is not the production that is currently running on Broadway or in the West End, although the original written material remains in tact.                                                 Day 4: The 10th Anniversary Concert!   Okay, I am not going to lie...but I thought I would have way more to say about this concert than I do. There were just so many cast members reprising their roles and I don't have anything else to say about those people.
